Taking a good portrait photograph of somebody is an excercise in communication, connection and understanding. This is when we see the best in people and visions become reality. I pride myself in creating a safe, friendly atmosphere for people to feel comfortable whilst being photographed.
Over the years, I have shot portraits for many private individuals, businesses and publications. The older I get, the more I understand that fancy kit and lighting are great, but what really counts is connecting with my subject, showing their true self, showing them looking their best and making the viewer feel something on an emotional level.
